ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
After studying at the Otis Art Institute and School of Design, Southern Californian
Jeff George has established a long distinguished career as a professional illustrator.
His commercial work has appeared in numerous ads and publications, garnering
George two gold medals from the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators. He currently works
as an illustrator/graphic designer for a children’s educational product company.
A master of technique in both pen and ink and graphite, he brings over 30 years of creative
experience to the world of colored pencil art.
Since joining the Colored Pencil Society of America in 2002, the colored pencil works
of Mr. George have won numerous awards, both locally and nationally. His pieces
”Empty Nest” in 2008, “Life and Death” in 2009, and “What So Proudly We Hailed” in 2015,
each won the coveted Cippy Award for top recognition and highest achievement in colored pencil art.
He is a signature member of the C.P.S.A., and his works are sought by both professional and
casual collectors.
He has exhibited in galleries and museums across the U.S. including the cities of Los
Angeles, Chicago, Albuquerque, Seattle, Atlanta, San Jose, Metro Washington D.C. and more.
Jeff’s works have also been displayed in several art publications and books such
as: American Artist, American Artist Drawing Magazine, The Artist’s Magazine, Southwest
Art Magazine, International Artists Magazine,The CPSA Signature Showcase
Book, The Best of Worldwide Artists Pencil / Pastel, and the Colored Pencil Artist’s
Drawing Bible.
