A fifteen-plus year signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, Jeff's colored pencil works have won numerous awards on both local and national levels.

 

His pieces ”Empty Nest”, “Life and Death”, and “What So Proudly We Hailed” each won the coveted Best of Show Cippy Award at the annual CPSA International Exhibition, the worlds largest colored pencil exhibition. To date, he is the only three time winner of the award.

 

Jeff is also a member of The International Guild of Realism.

 

He has exhibited in galleries and museums across the U.S. including the cities of Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, San Jose, Dallas, Alexandria VA. and more.

 

Jeff’s works have also been displayed in several art publications and books.

While continuing to create colored pencil works, Jeff is now expanding his artistic repertoire with other media. He is beginning to share his art knowledge, by teaching workshops and classes.

Originally based in Southern California, Jeff was a freelance illustrator for over a decade with a primary discipline of black and white techniques. With agent representation in Los Angeles and New York, he specialized in advertising. Clients included: Yamaha, Burger King, Citibank, Biltmore Hotels and many many more.

He was also awarded two gold medals from the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles during this time.

 

He eventually landed a full time in-house position at Lakeshore Learning Materials, where he worked for more than 20 years as an Illustrator and Designer. Jeff designed and illustrated a bevy of products and packaging, including puzzles, gameboards, childrens furniture, books and more.

 

He is proficient in  Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign as well as many traditional mediums.

 

Jeff's photography gallery is a new addition to the website.

He will often use his photographs for reference, or inspiration for his paintings. He is a photo enthusiast with a keen eye for composition and unique subject matter.
